Hi Everyone
How do you like this card I made it last week using a pinwheel design I had learned to make in first class at school. I have used Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Basic Black card stock. I have used a Antique Brad and some holly punched shapes. Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon makes a perfect background for A Gift for You stamp from the Beautiful Season stamp set. I mounted this on Cherry Cobbler and fixed into place with a dimensional. A little gold cord finishes it off nicely.
What do you think of this one? If you would like to know how to make this and many other cards for all occasions please dont hesitate to call me on (02) 9727 9384 or mobile 0401 459 486. My email contact is ksjacob@tpg.com.au .
Hello Again
Saturday, 19 November 2011
Sorry there is no picture to show you this time but I have had a few personal things to attend to lately. Firstly, my brother suffered a mild stroke and I flew to Brisbane to be with him. He is okay now but while I was there I took his car and drove to Toowoomba to meet a lovely talented and hospitable lady named Ruth Clarke. Yes the one and only Ruthy. I sat in her craft room and the whole room engulfed me. She has her lessons in there and the walls are beautifully layed out with Stampin, Up products all created beautifully into lovely projects.
Thank you Ruthy for a lovely day.
On returning to Sydney I received a call advising me that my cousin Beverly had passed away in Port Macquarie so I flew up there and attended the funeral yesterday. While I was there I met so many family members and new cousins. I was told 'now that we have found you we are not letting you go'. What a wonderful 'new' family I have found. Thank you all in Port Macquarie.
So now back home and I am madly trying to make Christmas cards and heaps of other things. So wish me luck and I will be here again soon with some projects to show you.

Bauble in a Window Card
Wednesday, 2 November 2011
This card is a pretty design another from Valita . It reminds me of a shop window with a decorative bauble hanging. The card is Real Red and Old Olive in colour. The Whisper White card stock is stamped with the Baroque Motifs large background stamp. A window topper of DSP is cut with the Scallop Edge Border punch and fixed with dimensionals. A bow of Real Red satin ribbon was glued to the DSP. The Delightful Decorations stamp was stamped twice. The middle of the bauble is punched out with a circle punch and fixed with a dimensional onto the larger punched shape made using the Ornament Punch. A rhinestone is fixed to the middle for a little bling. A small hole is punched in the top and some gold cord is threaded through and glued underneath the DSP.
This card and many more can be made during my Christmas Card Classes. Please call me on (02) 9727 9384 or 0401 459 486 for more details.
Happy Santa Punch Art card
Saturday, 29 October 2011
Isn't he cute! How would your little ones (or big ones even) like to receive this Santa card at Christmas? He is a jolly fellow made easily with Stampin Up products. The card is Old Olive stamped with Snow Swirled stamp for extra interest. The moustache is the bird's body of the 2 step Bird Punch again, do you own this very useful punch yet? His hat is made with Real Red card and the Pink Pirouette is used for his nose and face. The Whisper White beard, moustache, hair and pom pom were all embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder. Lastly, the White Gel Pen makes the twinkle in his eyes and the fur around his hat. Simple but effective.
Christmas is almost at the front door...

More punch art, it's so much fun.
This was one of the cards we made at my Christmas card classes recently.
The base is Very Vanilla, and there are additional panels for the door, sponged in Lucky Limeade ink (one of our new In Colors for 2011-12)
The wreath was made starting with a circle punchie, with a second hole punched in the middle. Around this, I used the branch from the 2 step bird punch, and I glued them on with the wonderful Tombow Multi Purpose Glue. The flowers are punched using the Itty Bitty Punch pack small flower, in Melon Mambo. Not exactly traditional Christmas colours, but bright and fresh for Australia's HOT Christmas! A bit more bling, with a few of the Basics Pearls in the centres.
The doorknob is a Vintage brad, which is a great standin!
The sentiment is from Snow Swirled, and punched with the Scallop Oval punch, popped up on a dimensional and with the edges inked for definition.

Wedding Card with Petals a Plenty
Wednesday, 26 October 2011
Here is a card I made for the wedding we are attending on the weekend - on Hamilton Island!!! (jealous yet?)
The groom is the son of a friend of mine, and both the groom and his mum were taught by Stuart, my husband! Small world, hey :) Some of the wedding guests may get a surprise when they spot Mr Jacob :P Tales of detention and more...
On to the card... I wanted something special for this card, and have made a fold with a special pocket for a gift card or cheque. I made this by folding the card in Landscape orientation, with the first two sections being normal card size, and the remaining piece being folded inwards to form a pocket. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the inside to show you. I trimmed the inside edge with the Scallop Trim punch to decorate it.
The bride's dress is Whisper White, embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder for the BigShot. I have added some bits of gold glitter to highlight the centre of the petals. The card base is Very Vanilla, and then there is a layer of Basic Black. Next up is a Whisper White layer sponged with River Rock ink. The background is a panel of River Rock. To co-ordinate with the colour scheme of the wedding I have made a cummerbund from a piece of Very Vanilla stamped and embossed with gold using the Confetti background set. I've also added some Basics Rhinestones to give a bit of Bling to the Bride's neckline.
The concept for this design was provided by the very clever Valita, at Valita's Fresh Folds. Go have a look to see the other wonderful creations she makes!
