Happy Santa Punch Art card

Isn't he cute!  How would your little ones (or big ones even) like to receive this Santa card at Christmas?  He is a jolly fellow made easily with Stampin Up products.  The card is Old Olive stamped with Snow Swirled stamp for extra interest.  The moustache is the bird's body of the 2 step Bird Punch again, do you own this very useful punch yet?  His hat is made with Real Red card and the Pink Pirouette is used for his nose and face.  The Whisper White beard, moustache, hair and pom pom were all embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder. Lastly, the White Gel Pen makes the twinkle in his eyes and the fur around his hat.  Simple but effective.

Christmas is almost at the front door...

More punch art, it's so much fun.

This was one of the cards we made at my Christmas card classes recently.
The base is Very Vanilla, and there are additional panels for the door, sponged in  Lucky Limeade ink (one of our new In Colors for 2011-12)

The wreath was made starting with a circle punchie, with a second hole punched in the middle.  Around this, I used the branch from the 2 step bird punch, and I glued them on with the wonderful Tombow Multi Purpose Glue.  The flowers are punched using the Itty Bitty Punch pack small flower, in Melon Mambo. Not exactly traditional Christmas colours, but bright and fresh for Australia's HOT Christmas!  A bit more bling, with a few of the Basics Pearls in the centres.

The doorknob is a Vintage brad, which is a great standin!

The sentiment is from Snow Swirled, and punched with the Scallop Oval punch, popped up on a dimensional and with the edges inked for definition.

Wedding Card with Petals a Plenty

Here is a card I made for the wedding we are attending on the weekend  - on Hamilton Island!!!  (jealous yet?)
The groom is the son of a friend of mine, and both the groom and his mum were taught by Stuart, my husband!  Small world, hey :)  Some of the wedding guests may get a surprise when they spot Mr Jacob :P  Tales of detention and more...

On to the card...  I wanted something special for this card, and have made a fold with a special pocket for a gift card or cheque.  I made this by folding the card in Landscape orientation, with the first two sections being normal card size, and the remaining piece being folded inwards to form a pocket.  Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the inside to show you.  I trimmed the inside edge with the Scallop Trim punch to decorate it.

The bride's dress is Whisper White, embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder for the BigShot.  I have added some bits of gold glitter to highlight the centre of the petals.  The card base is Very Vanilla, and then there is a layer of Basic Black.  Next up is a Whisper White layer sponged with River Rock ink.  The background is a panel of River Rock.  To co-ordinate with the colour scheme of the wedding I have made a cummerbund from a piece of Very Vanilla stamped and embossed with gold using the Confetti background set.  I've also added some Basics Rhinestones to give a bit of Bling to the Bride's neckline.

The concept for this design was provided by the very clever Valita, at Valita's Fresh Folds.  Go have a look to see the other wonderful creations she makes!
